The animals take over the farm. One evening, Farmer Jones forgets to feed his animals. Starving, the animals rise up and drive him out. On the barn wall, the pigs paint the new rules. The last one reads.

A farm where animals talk. The book is set on an ordinary English farm. There, the animals talk and vote. The pigs, the cleverest of them, learn to read. A huge cart-horse works harder than all the others.

作者

George Orwell was born in India. As a young man, he served as a police officer in Burma. Then he washed dishes in a Paris hotel and lived as a tramp in London.
